Joshua Beadle's passions, talents, and skillsets have led him on a distinctive path of working for the advancement of Sarasota’s LGBTQ community for over a decade.
Born and raised in a small town in Pennsylvania, Joshua specialized in the Fundamentals of Art & Design in high school and continued his education at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Graphic Design. While entering college he quickly earned national notoriety by winning 3rd place in an Art Institute International Portfolio Competition and then graduated with the highest honor “Best of Show.” Joshua's professional career began as an Advertising & Media Director for one of Pittsburgh’s top salons in which he gained experience in special event production and management, advertising and branding, social media, and the importance of customer service. While working at the salon Joshua also started Pittsburgh’s first LGBTQ magazine. In 2011, Joshua moved to Florida where he was introduced to even more LGBTQ opportunities. While in Florida, Joshua has worked in media advertising and design for an LGBTQ campground, 2 LGBTQ magazines, and a national LGBTQ travel agency and has only once ventured outside the LGBTQ community holding a position at Apple as an Expert. While living in Sarasota, Joshua has accomplished many achievements for Sarasota’s LGBTQ community including successfully promoting Sarasota’s as an LGBTQ friendly destination, hosting highly successful monthly LGBTQ networking happy hours called G2H2, fundraising thousands of dollars for local and national organizations, creating popular LGBTQ nightlife events at various establishments, and most notably creating and managing Sarasota’s only LGBTQ directory website SarasotaOUT.com where all his ventures and the communities events and businesses get packaged together. Most recently, Joshua has embarked on an exciting new journey starting "Project Pride" a local non-profit organization whose mission is to advance Sarasota’s LGBTQ community even further and by celebrating PRIDE events all year long including a grand celebration in June, which is nationally recognized as Pride Month. While Joshua's dedication to his community is apparent he is confident in knowing that everything he’s done and achieved up till now has prepared him for the adventures to come. |
